It looks like they quit forecasting river levels. The last few days they've just been updating current water levels. Not that their predictions were spot on, it was always something I enjoyed being able to click on and get an idea on river levels on days to come without having to use my brain :)

Yep, wanna come to Alabama? :) Give me a call, going offshore about 20 miles to finish my Nitrox course and bring in some dinner, with any luck.

Doing Destin on the first weekend of June as well - you still in PC? :D

It appears to be back, hopefully to stay. :)

Neat site Matt. At what level does Morrison get trashed?
Rick

7.5 its tannic with a dirty 3-5' of visibility in red/brown water. At 6.5' you can expect a really dirty/milky 15' if you're lucky. The water will be greenish/brown towards the center of the basin and towards the middle/top of spring run. The rest will be a mix of brown tannic water and fresh water appearing light brown. 5.5' and you can get up to 30'+ greenish water with a slight blue tint, somewhat milky, if you get in before everyone else. 5.5' is the lowest I've dived Morrison while knowing about the waterlevel site. I really wish I knew how high the water was on the few days that I've dived Morrison while it was 'gin' clear. I'm guessing 4.5'-5 and lower are the days we all enjoy so much when braggin about Morrison to others.

Cypress is pretty much 'gin' clear anything below 10-11' :) At 12' its milky and blue, with 10-20' of visibility and some tannic water towards the berm. This also happens to be when the river level is considered "flooded" LOL

Yeah I am still here. I graduate from the FSU PC campus in August, so I will be here at least through the end of the summer.

I am working on my AOW certification right now. I will have it finished up by next weekend. It also includes Nitrox so I should be able to play with that the next time we go diving.

I may do some jettie diving this weekend in PCB. I was out there last weekend and was swimming and snorkleing without a wetsuit. Water was 70F so it was a little chilly but it is definately warming up. The water is also starting to clear up around here since the river levels are falling. I actually had 15' of viz at the jetties last weekend and this was with the tide going out!

I won't be able to join you this weekend, but perhaps for I can dive the Destin jetties that weekend. I have never been over there but hear it is fun.

Sounds good, should be a good time with decent visibility by then.

Also, check this thread out http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=93882 and feel free to revive it. A bunch of us from here as well as the Dixie Divers are coming up to Vortex to camp and dive Morrison and Cypress. Right in your area, so you should join us for the weekend, or atleast some of it.
