No Thanks Button in Introductions Forum

I'm not finding a Thanks button on any of the posts in the Introduction and Greets forum. But I do heve them in other areas.

Is it supposed to be that way?

My guess is that they figure most cases of somebody saying hello does not really qualify them for a "Thanks"....similar to the Pub and a couple of other areas. There definitely are a couple of areas that do not have the "Thanks" button.
