No-Profit, Co-op, Gear Buys Are Here to Stay

Power Scuba is going to do a lot more no-profit group gear Buys in a co-op style...a LOT more. After our very successful recent Buy of over 55 Shearwater Perdix AI computers, the benefit to our members is incontrovertible.

SOME scuba shops and manufacturers out there are going to be very happy when they receive the support of our 4,100+ member base. WE LOVE TO SUPPORT THE SHOPS AND FOLKS WHO SUPPORT US. Has always been that way and always will be.

Co-op Buys are a time-honored tradition in many places and I aim to make it a tradition here in San Diego, SoCal, and beyond. Not everyone in the dive community is out to line their pockets. If you don't yet believe that, stand by... you soon will.

Normal behavior, Kelemvor. Meetup is the web-hosting site Power Scuba resides on.

Tek, the price stays vaulted because we promised the shop we worked with we wouldn't speak of the price out loud. M.A.P. issues and all that, you see. (Participants were only told the price once they put deposit money down. They all left very happy.)

For the Perdix, you had to put down a non-refundable deposit via Paypal Friends & Family before knowing the price.
