(The Scuba Board filter replaced the cursing with the ***, the original message was not as kind.)

Hi Capt,

Sorry for the delayed response. I'm waiting for other quotes to come in
before making a decision.

Since you consider my actions rude, it might be best if we don't do business
together.

Best regards,

David

Well
I went to all the trouble to quote you a price the least you could do would
to let me know if you want the stuff.. IF not that's ok but to not even
respond is rude.

Hi,

I would like to change my standard DIN valve on my 3500 PSI tanks so that I
can break down banded doubles with an isolation manifold into two
independent tanks, each with H-Valves.

So I need -

1 each 300 BAR Isolation Manifold with7/8 inlet.
1 left hand side H-Valve adaptor
1 right hand side H-Valve adaptor

Could you provide a price/availability quotation including S&H to Massachusetts?

Thanks!

Well he gave you over 24 hours! Darn, you'd think it's YOUR MONEY.

Ouch! Capt' Dave seems a bit touchy!

I had a similar reply from them once some time ago...., w/o the cuss words.

I emailed them to ask them a question about a product and it took them several days to reply. In them mean time I bought it somewhere else and got it for cheaper. Well he didn't like that and asked why I emailed him for a price if I was just going to buy it somewhere else. I told him that because of the delay in his reply and that I found it somewhere else that I had already bought it.

Well, then he apparantly puts me on his "email distribution list" and I get email spam crap on his "weekly sale" all the time. Took me what seems like 10 emails back to them to get me to remove them from their list which included smart aleck replies from them.

They just are not customer friendly.

That is funny! What a difference one little letter can make!

Try "www.whitehouse.com" -vs- "www.whitehouse.org". Just .org -vs- .com difference.
The first used to be an "adult content" site, while the second is the official whitehouse site, complete with messages like "sex is for fags",just below the social security ad.
*sigh*

I am not certain that is the 'official' white house site, the content seems a bit controversial.

Diver Discount Catalog is "owned and operated by the Sea of Cortez Dive Center" and based in San Carlos, Mexico with a "booking" office in Tucson, Arizona. If you visit their site at www.diverdiscount.com and click on the webmaster link, the email address that pops up is diverdiscount1@cox.net - so we've pretty well identified the "who" behind the email exchange that aNightDiver had. I've never done business with them and can't, based upon the email exchange provided by aNightDiver, imagine why anyone would.

Divers Discount, however, is a different story. Based in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, they maintain a website at www.diversdiscount.com. As others have noted, what a difference a single letter can make. In my experience, the folks at Divers Discount have been consistently prompt and courteous and fair - not to mention inexpensive.

In the interest of fairness, I've taken the liberty of sending an email to the cox.net address letting them know about this thread and asking them to comment.
