Hi - I'm planning a two-day trip down to FL and trying to decide whether a double dip to one of their deeper wrecks makes sense. The two I'm considering are mostly 70-90' or 80'-110', I think (Spiegel and Duane). With a standard 60 minute dive interval, does a second dive to these depths become so short it's not worth it? I got my OW back in the days before computers, and could probably do the trip plan, but I know the charts are overly conservative compared to a computer that is actually tracking your dive, so I'm curious what a real-life dive would result in, in terms of the 2nd dive bottom time. Thanks!

No, I own a computer. I'm just curious what a predicted 2nd dive time will be, so I know whether it makes sense to schedule a double-tip trip or not.

my tables say NO. 20 min at 100 feet. 60 min interval. leaves 2 min at 100 feet.

if you only have a basic rcreational computer you could use some type of software to run scenarios to see what works.

I can try and run this on MultiDeco on lunch. Will you be doing air or 32%?

You ought to check if your computer has dive plan mode.

Subsurface (which is free btw) says diving to 90 ft on 32% running gf of 45/95 (shearwaters liberal setting in rec mode) w/1 hr si in between dives you can do 2 dives to 30 min and stay within ndl.

Air would be less.

I'll be diving nitrox - whatever % they give me (which, looking at my logs, seems like anything from 29% to 32%).
