I bought a used set of Dacor viper america regs at a used gear sale for cheap. Had them checked out, yearly maintenance, etc done to them, but I'm wondering if they are Nitrox ready? I'll most likely only be diving 32%, if that makes any difference
\\

Thanks

Any and all regulators that are not caked up with compressor oil are, with no special preparation, NITROX ready for and mix under 40%. The entire concept of a regulator being "NITROX ready" is an invention to separate you from your cash and should never be confused with being set up for "Oxygen Service."

That's what I had gathered from my research but Dacor being gone it was hard to find official literature. Thanks a lot!

It's a Mares-intensive shop, and I believe most parts are interchangeable, or at least similar, right? This is my first reg though, so I'm no expert.

Mares bought Dacor when Dacor went under.

Mares supports some later-model Dacors. The Viper series of second stages are among those they support. You should be good to go on any nitrox mix up to 40%.

Yea, the last Dacors were actually Mares made in Italy re-branded with Dacor on it. Mares bought Dacor just to gain their market share.

Ex dive store owner and Dacor/Mares dealer:wink:
