I'm researching now and I plan on buying a regulator (Atomic). I've noticed that many of the regulators out there are Nitrox compatible. Are there any issues in switching between air and nitrox on a regular basis with a regulator if its Nitrox compatible?

More marketing bumph. If you are using EAN at 40% or less, all regulators are EAN compatable.

And yes there are differences. You will find out how little or how much when you take the nitrox course. In general, recreational nitrox. No problem.

Might as well add this tid bit:
You don't need to O2 clean your regulator if you're using it with mixes below 40% O2.
Tanks are a different story, keep Nitrox tanks O2 clean and only for Nitrox as they may be exposed to high O2 concentrations when filling.

Tanks need be oxygen clean only if they are to be filled by partial pressure mixing. If they are filled from banked gas, under 40%, it's the same story as regulators.

I've got a EAN ready snorkel and BC also, and my Nitrox Knife.
