Tonight I finished up my Nitrox course and I'm officially (minus the card) Nitrox certified. :) As an added bonus, my 7' hose came in too. I asked my LDS to add my 7' hose to my first stage and second stage as he is servicing my rig.

So now, in order to actually utilize nitrox, I need to get my SAC rate down. :)

More importantly, did the shop teach you the correct hand signal for "Out of Nitrox"?

Remember, don't share air with anyone who isn't EANx certified!

I bet some cowboy diveshop somewhere would charge extra for servicing a "nitrox clean" long hose.

Ive put my 7ft hose in the cupboard and gone to a 5ft for open water diving. Just cant stop it forming a small loop behind me as it wont feed down parallel to the tank and wing.

I found that the 5 ft was more unruly than the 7... seemed to keep popping out of my waist band when ever I would move my head too much... The 7 stays tucked in nicely with or without my can light

You did get a Nitrox 7 ft hose right? :)...

Make sure you O2 clean your mask also... :D

Most definitely, it was 20 dollars more for the nitrox hose!

Would O2 cleaning my mask require that I seal it permanently to my face? I'd have no problem with that, minus the itch I might get. :)

Nope, I most have missed that, can you tell me?

 What is he signals that his n-card is in the car?

Wanna send your 7' hose to me? ;)

I'll try it out next weekend. He said he should have my regs serviced by the first of next week.
