Thought I would mention this since it seemed funny at the time. Now it's just sad.

Went to my LDS yesterday to get a VIP and fill for each of my 4 tanks. When I got to the cashier she looked down and said "two air and two nitro fills?" I told her they were nitrox and I also had 4 VIP's done. This confused her so she ended up asking the other cashier how to ring it up. The other one said "just ring up 4 visual inspections, two air fills and 2 nitrate fills."

I'm not making this up.

I'm either going to swim very fast and then explode or just grow when I use them.

About the 2 nitrate fills; make sure you apply plenty of water very soon otherwise they may burn the grass.

You'd better analyse those tanks very carefully, Ted... :)

Nitrate, nitro....

nitro- or nitr-
pref.
Nitrate; niter: nitrobacterium.
Nitrogen: nitrile.
Containing the univalent group NO2: nitromethane

ni·trate
n.
1. The univalent radical NO3 or a compound containing it, as a salt or an ester of nitric acid.
2. Fertilizer consisting of sodium nitrate or potassium nitrate.

A far cry from any of the stuff that we have dive tables established to work with :D

well if its "nitro" (nitrous- N2O)
and your a well maintained diver and properly tuned
u shouldn't explode just go a lil faster hahah
as long as u add enough extra fuel and dont lean out haha

So were these the owners of the LDS or just instructors?

Actually the store does more than just scuba. All around sporting goods with an excellent dive shop staffed by excellent people.

Same place I buy my firearm ammunition and had a different cashier remark how "cute" the rounds were for my .17HMR. Just like baby center fire cartriges I guess......

...or maybe the sold you Nitrous...
in which case you could either make your car go really fast...
...or do dental work on all your friends....
