I have had my Nitek Duo for 2 years, and am very happy with it. It does allow you to set nitrox,or air , and allows a second stage bottle mix (if going into decompression, etc).The computer also automatically saves your dive info into a user friendly log. The computer battery is available at most any retail / Walgreens store, and is user changeable. The "only" thing that I don't like: is that manufacture warranty is only 1 year, but I have not needed to send mine in. I think you can get a better price, than $500, if you keep shopping around.:14:
