Thanks!
I was shooting RAW + JPEG low. The attached images are processed and resized JPEG low images. I use an ancient version of Paint Shop Pro, probably 6 years old, but it does everything I need. I have CS3 but I am just now beginning to play with the RAW files.

You might want to think about Lightroom rather than Photoshop.
I've got both, and almost never ever use Photoshop anymore.

currently looking at expanding into a better underwater camera system and case....and strobe.

What are people's feelings about the Nikon D90?

Do you recomend the Ikelite case.......and what stobe(s) would you suggest.....

Thanks in advance
I have had major problems with the shutter function of the Ikelite housing, the rubber tip came off the shutter depresser before I ever had a dive. At that point spoke with Ikelite salesperson who advised any adhesive would work. I used super glue (was careful not to get any on the housing). Rubber tip later came off under water, so could not take any pictures until that was fixed with a better adhesive. Next dive trip 10 months later, the rubber tip came off under water, so no pictures that dive. Then stuck a tooth pick fragment with super glue and got the rubber tip to stay on. Put it all together and worked beautifully above water, but would not depress the shutter underwater. Ikelite sends a lot of extra rubber tips with the housing purchase, so must not be a rare occurrence for rubber tips to come off. Other problems I've experienced include the shutter release lever outside the housing coming unscrewed so that the shutter release mechanism would not flip the rubber tip down resulting in no pictures that dive. The dome port attachment clips are not fixing the dome port solidly to the housing above water. Underwater there is plenty of pressure to keep it from coming loose. Above water must be careful, it would be easy for the dome port to loosen in a rinse tank on a boat for example, or if the boat driver grabbed the housing by the dome port when picking it up to hand to you after you get in the water. Also had difficulty with the zoom feature: Ikelite personnel told me that the extra rubber strips (that are shipped with the housing) would not be needed. So, I left them home the first dive trip. As it turned out, underwater I could not zoom the lens. I used portions of rubber fin straps to solve the problem.

D-160 strobe works quite well.

Presently this is the system going forward with a little more research.

Thats a great system you have built!! best way to go for the D90. My question for you is what lens or lenses will you be using?

Many of you mention the DS 161 strobes. Those are nice since they have the 500 lumens light built in. However, if you really want to shoot anything serious video with the camera, you will find yourself wanting more light.

That being said, the configuration I have been working with on the VDSLRs that works great is a set up dual strobes (I like the YS-110a the best) and then on each arm set up (ULCS), I will use a triple clamp allowing me to attach a Fisheye Fix 1000 LED light to each side, giving me plenty of light to work with and shoot good quality video.

I already have several dive lights I have built that I can convert to video lights......

Lenses......
AF Micro Nikkor 60mm F/2.8D lens
Sigma 17-70 lens
