Where are you located clipgoal...?

No worries, I was thinking, if you were local I might lend you my setup... Hope you understand that without being local its not possible....

Hope you find something that works for you....!

Very (very) nice of you but I certainly wouldn't expect anybody to undertake that risk. I would consider renting a housing if I could figure out where to do it. I had hoped to piece together the d80 setup relatively cheaply over time, but since I booked a last minute trip, my time to find a used one is essentially up for now.

I have not been to the Turks and Caicos as of yet but many shops do carry rentals e.g. sea and sea and such... I know your shaking your head but to try and get into a cheap setup is easy to say and impossible to do!

I ended up buying my setup at a pretty good cost, its for a D70 and since I have a D90, I had three choices... 1. Buy for the d90 new (very costly) 2. Wait for a used one to come available 3. Find a good deal and buy the camera to go with it (which I did) and since I had the lenses the body set me back another 400.00

Thats why, IF you were local after a good talk face to face and with a good vibe, I might have offered mine...

I hope with the bumps you might find someone who has a deal for you... If your not aware of wetpixel, they are always selling and seen a couple for D80's...

Good luck, lee

Thanks for your help! Some possibilities listed on there. If it doesn't pan out, I'll just grab a cheap u/w housing and go with my sd900 point and shoot. I already sold my old Sea Life (which I hated).

hi, i have an Ikelite D80 housing with 60mm macro port for sale. interested?
