Hi all...

I am trying to find a boat that takes off on Saturday nights for bug hunting... checked a lot of calendars but having a hard time finding a boat. They must be out there right? Anyone have any info on night boat dives anywhere in socal leaving on Sat nights? I live in LA... willing to drive a little ways if there is a boat heading out. I
work until late on Friday nights so these don't work for us. Just looking for a one night dive...

Thanks for any info you can provide... there are 2-4 of us and we are hoping to go out this sat and a few sats in a row if possible.

Hi C1212,

Are early season night boats weren't terribly productive lobster-wise, even at the very start of season, so for us, night boats sort of petered out. Divers who know where to beach dive are still getting occasional bugs, but Catalina and the coast bug populations are hurting. We have lots of day trips though and if I have hunters on board, I'll go to sites where you can hunt. :)

Cheers,

Thanks capt... that's another whole issue... we love night beach dives for lobster. But we are new at this and have no idea where to go. Of course... no one will tell us either! any location is books is likely picked over and not that good. People at LDS help a little... but not much.

it would be awesome if anyone feels like PM-ing me a good spot! we promise not to publicize it!

Catalina Island has bugs ! Moon,Tides,Currents and Temp. and don`t forget the timing when you jump. If you get in to late there gone, to early there still in the rocks:confused: We do good on most of our trips! :D
