We took a trip down to cave country last week and got in some amazing diving in the springs. We were in luck and the conditions in many system were excellent.

On one of our dives we did Telford Springs. This was my first time at this site and it is now on my favorites list. A very nice system that changes as you move through it. I also took up sidemount diving during the trip and found it very nice in Telford's lower areas.

Telford will definitely require a return trip.

Thanks for the video. It's been a couple of years since I've been in there and your video brought back good memories.

We use to be able to drive in, park at Terrapan Sink (Sp?) and start from there. My buddy, Jeff H, and I did manage to get all the way to the back end (at least as far as you can go on doubles). We left a "sign-in" slate back there, but haven't a clue if it's still there. I've always been amazed how Telford changes from the entry off the river, to rocks, then silt, then canyons, then sand, and so forth.

Thanks again. Nice shooting and nice contribution to the cave videos!

Wonderful video!!! and HD, too . . . just perfect!

Thanks for the kind replies. Yes this trip was also my first foray into HD video. Although the editing takes a little longer I'm happy with the results.

More videos to come, but the editing will take a little time. Ruth and Anderson are among the less traveled system to be featured.

Nice! Since its closing down it doesnt see much traffic.[boat access only] I did my apprentice class there and while connecting the line across the sink, got sprung back when the spool ran out of line. We jumped the gate to go look at it last weekend and was surprised to see the dumpster still there and still full, that was paid for by the NSSCDS. I wish they or the NACD could accuire exclusive access to the site, like Cow and others. It would help with membership numbers Im sure.

You don't necessarily need a boat if your brave. We waded up river in the dark. I chose to have my light off since with the light on every log looked like a gator :shocked2:

It was a very nice dive for sure.

Oh no not the river in the dark! I would be affraid for my truck at night at that boat ramp. Glad it all worked out well. Not many places in that area open for night dives.

Me too. Be real careful diving Telford at night guys, this is a spot the locals use to sell/smoke pot, which is why the police still patrol it.
