sure, we'll just roll lolo Caloy into the classroom in his iron lung to scare the kids out of ever smoking...
 
When I gave up smoking I didnt put a patch on before diving, not because I thought it would affect me (I have a pharmacist friend who said it would be an issue except for nicotine slightly speeding up ones heart rate), but because I never smoked before diving anyway.
I wouldnt worry too much, just try to take it a bit easy.
