So where in this world are there nice family-friendly resorts for diving?

Single Mami in need of vacation spots that would accomodate 2 lil boys and offer fun in surf and turf. Trying to plan out vacation spot for next year with my kids and, it's daunting to say the least.

I would be travelling with my brother and his family (he has 2 lil girls). His wife doesn't dive and would watch the kids while my bro and I went diving, but we need places that would offer activities for little ones too.

there are several in Cozumel- We stayed at the allegro resort and found it very family oriented- although we don;t have kids, we talked to a couple diving who were praising the resort. They have a kids club so you can dive and kids are cool- they had sports and activities for kids- tons of stuff- and all sorts of interactive things and games/competitions. This could give your brothers\'s wife a break too. There were also lots of other kids there so planty of people to play with.

As we do not have kids, the resort was not for us- but is a great place for families. They are one of the all inclusives, which can be good for costs, and means kids can choose what they eat without family hassles at meal time.

I understand some of the resorts on Roatan are kid-firendly too but cannot personally comment.

hope you have a good one :)

Most large resorts have some type of kids activities. Some have kids pools & kids clubs too. You need to first pick your destination, then decide if you want an AI plan. With little kids, I'd go AI. You don't have to worry about where your going to go eat. If the restaurant will be child friendly or if the kids will like the food. Then start looking at the activities for the kids & adults. The more you narrow it down, the less daunting it will be.

.......we had the same experiance at the Allegro last summer. Our nine year old daughter had a ball at teh kids club. Dive Planacar the local shop does a good job as well. BTW, they have the best beach on the island.

Good luck in your search.
