How does one go about diving the Niagara? I realize we could just grab some tanks and go but not comfortable going that route and how do you get back to you car besides???

We would prefer to go out with a group. Anyone know of any charters or groups going out? We love drifts!!!:D

If you are willing to cross the boarder first, there is a weekly drift dive sponsored by Discover Diving that drifts the Tonawanda channel every Wednesday evening. You need two vehicles (or make friends and get transported - not a problem). They put on a cook-out afterwards, think it is free...

I forgot the mention the weekends would be better. Not fancying an evening weekday drive on the QEW!!!

trust me, QEW during the week is a walk in a park, come weekends is horrendous, you will spend most of the day on it, unless you head out at 8am

:rofl3: Weekends = idiots (boaters and jet-skis) on the River.....

not to mention the weekend drivers you have to battle on the roads lol

We got the you-know-what scared out of us last Sat as our group geared up. There was a speedboat race going on. WOW was that LOUD!!! The first dive was a little hairy with boat noise but no boats passed directly overhead, the second dive was much quieter.

As for weekend traffic, what traffic? As for eating anywhere decent..lol wasn't going to happen. It seemed half of ontario was in Niagara on the lake. Got home and had pizza delivered.

That was one of the biggest Poker Runs that WNYOPA had ever seen. There were boats there capable of >180 mph. Outer Limits and Nortec had factory boats there. Sheriff chased all the traffic off the center of the river so they could play. It was impressive!!!!! Glad i was dry for the weekend.

At Millers Creek Marina a guy arrived with an Uber speed boat with a Catarman type hull, you could feel the rumble when he started her up!
