Next Dive Trip?

Hi all, it's been over a month now since I was diving. Anyone got anything planned for either 25-26 Aug or Labor Day weekend? I read of a possible interest in Torquise Lake, but then Frank reported it was bitter cold, even in a dry suit (I still dive wet).

On another note, I'm thinking of a Coz trip this fall. I noticed that funjet has some pretty good deals from Denver. Anyone have an recommendations, or anyone have any plans?

I did the Funjet trip to Cozumel over July 4th weekend. Definitely a good deal. Headed back with SingleDivers.com this week!

As far as local diving goes, nothing planned right now until the Blue Hole September 15-16.

Blue Hole THIS weekend (Aug 18th~19th). In fact I'm looking to split gas and room costs. If I can not find anyone who wants to do that, I'm gong to drive down alone, and camp.

I opened a thread a couple weeks back.

I need to talk to the wife about Turquoise Lake on Labor day. My only hesitation is it's a very bad weekend to travel. Heck, you should see the traffic on 285 I have to put up with on the weekend just to get out to the store (or anywhere).

Ron: I have a special Birthday Party that I must attend on this Sat, or I'd share with you...both gas and the motel. I haven't been back to Blue Hole since I finished my AOW last Nov.

I just checked, and there are no campsites, including group campsites available for the Labor Day weekend. There are a couple with Sunday night only open. I am really surprised in the fact that most campsites are totally booked, including during the week, for then next two weeks - I didn't look any further.

I also checked for Pueblo Res since I have boated and patrolled there in the past, and all RV sites there are booked already too. Looks like I may have waited too long to find anything?? :no

I wouldn't say Turquoise Lake is *bitter* cold. It's cold, but I did it a week+ ago with a 7 mil and was fine. The initial chill sucks, but one the water between you and your wetsuit warms up, it's not too bad. Now, diving Aurora last Friday with a 3 mil really sucked below 40 ft.

I'm going to Cozumel Oct. 31-Nov.4 with Coral Reef.

I'd be able to do something Aug. 25-26 but I'll be in Jacksonville that next week (if anyone want to come for a dive http://scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=197992).
