Dove 3 major sites this weekend conditions were as follows:

Saw lots of flatfish and horseshoe crabs. one lobster that was a keeper and a couple of large Black fish.

Dove Kings Beach Newport Saturday Night:
Vis was 20+, water temp was 50 surf and bottom. lots of flats and skates one horseshoe crab and lots of small lobster.

Dove FT. Adams Sunday.
Vis was about 15' Did 1st dive at slack low and got out to 65'. water temp was 47 at depth. strong thermocline at 40-45 feet. lots of skate, flats and black fish.
2nd dive was a drift dive. current was not running to hard going from low to high. only a 2 foot tide shift for the whole tide but still nice easy drift dive. Saw a few keeps sized lobsters tucked into holes and a few large blackfish.

Thanks for the report.

I produce a television program called "Scott Tucker's Expedition New England" which focuses alot of SCUBA diving in RI. Last year I spent a lot of time in RI at Ft. Wetherill and I might have burnt out my dive buddy. I'm diving dry and have 2 100 cf steel tanks
I am looking to expand my dive spots into the Newport area this year and wish to find other divers that know Kings Beach area or any other areas's that will provide good vis and lots of marine life. Can you suggest anyone or are you intersted in joining me this year?

He if its not video Joe. I called you last week because an amphibian guy at school liked your video and asked to see it again and for more. So I passed on to hime some of your videos.

Just finished my Organic Chem-2 final yesterday which is the toughest course of my curriculam. It was a rough ending with the class average of 35 for the last test before the final. I feel like Ive got a big monkey off my back and Im ready to dive anywhere.

Good to see great vis in RI but it will be changing soon as the water heats up. Lets get a dive in soon.

Chris

Chris, glad all is well. I didn't get your message last week. I would be glad to talk with your friend. I am gearing up for diving and really want to try new spots this year. I've always wanted to try Kings Beach and plan to hit it on Memorial Day Week end. Ava just had the baby so things are a little up in the air. In addition I am struggling thru a root canal proceedure that is still pending. Hope to have it cleared up on Monday.

Talk soon.

Scott

Make sure you tell the endodontist you are a diver and possibly make sure no air bubbles are left in the permanat filling. Someone gave me that advice last year when I had mine done.

I always remind my dentist I am a diver. Makes sure I am not having any problems. A buddy of mine just switched to my dentist becuase he has been having pressure problems in a few of his teeth.
