Matt Johnston--Diving A Dream
After the DEMA Trade Show this fall, I was invited by my dear friend Matt Johnston to join him, his family and Captain Gary Mace at Conch Republic Divers for an adventure of epic proportions. For Matt, every breath is a gift and the opportunity to take a few of those breaths in the underwater world is all that he dreams about. Matt suffers from Muscular Dystrophy and as a result, he has been dependent on a ventilator for 17 years. That dependence has brought him the blessing of an amazing group of people that support his dreams and his very existence. He has figured out all the technological issues that could keep him out of the water and succeeded in being the first ventilator scuba diver. He is an inspiration to me and a treasured friend who has no doubt changed my life. Watch his video and enjoy the pictures at:
