My friends used this dive op last november when they got married on a royal carribbean cruise. They did a few dives stopped for lunch etc and seemed to have a great time. But I think all their time in port was diving. The boats were small, like 4 divers each.

Thanks Pam, I'm also signed up on the CruiseCritic board. They do have alot of great suggestions too. I emailed Bob Soto's operations in the Caymans' and he explained that his ops does do snorkeling tours for Stingray City as well as that shallow dive you mentioned. You may want to check in with them. We were planning on using Eagle Ray too, in Cozumel, they were very helpful as you mentioned. Unfortunately, we wouldn't be in port as long as you but we'll get a good two tank dive in in the AM.
I'll also be using Scuba Duffer's suggestion and bringing with me all my researched info on operators on the various ports of call so if I'm in a bind, I'll be able to reach out to an operator and "save" my diving!

I must've posted my previous reply when you posted yours. Didn't noticed till I send out mine. Thxs for the additonal info. Check that dive oper site out (Cozumel) and see that they seemed to be geared towards more advanced divers than I am. I don't wanna ruin any one else's dive with my fumbling around, so I'll probably go with either Eagel Ray or the ship's dive oper.
BTW, Wendy are you a LEO down there in Floridia?

My son and I just returned from a cruise to Cozumel and Grand Cayman diving both islands. We both are fairly newbies. We dove with Papa Hogs in Cozumel, they will work with you on your experience and won't put you out with more experienced divers. On our first dive with them, it was only my son, I and our divemaster. Our divemaster was great watching out for us giving us a geat dive. In Grand Cayman we dove this time with Neptune Dives and again it was just my son, I and our divemaster. They worked with us on scheduling our dives working with us so we had plenty of time to get back to the ship.
