Hello All!

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new member in the sandbox.

I currently live in South Carolina (it truly is the armpit of the south), but I'm a displaced Texan. I'm currently a student at the University of South Carolina in the Marine Sciences program & I hope to graduate by Fall 2008.

As for diving, I've just completed my OW pool & class time, and I'm packing right this second for my trip for my OW Cert. dives in Florida. We are going to Crystal River, Weekie Wachie Springs, and Blue Grotto. I've been told that these are fabulous dive spots, so I'm very excited.

Anyway, that's me in a nutshell.

Welcome! If that Marine Sciences thing doesn't work out, you could always just work down at Weeki-Wachie... especially with that nickname!

...why didn't I do a Marine Sciences program. Then I could be diving instead of stuck behind this keyboard...

Welcome aboard! We could always use more input from folks with formal education in marine sciences. I look forward to seeing your input. :)

My family lives in SC so I do alot of diving there. I've been to Crystal River. The manatees are amazing. I'm going back in Dec. Have fun ;)

WELCOME! I did my checkout dives at Blue Grotto and Crystal River. Hopefully you will be going to Blue Grotto early...it can be very crowded and with alot of students watch for the fins from above! Crystal River was great. Snorkeling with the manatees is awesome, and when diving they swim with you. I was given a boost out of the water many times or was blown a kiss from them! HAPPY DIVING!!

Ask my cousin who is a marine biologist major. She lived on rice and beans because she had no money except for grants to live on! Scuba gear is expensive that is why I have 2 jobs! LOL!
