Newbie question

I am fairly new to the board and to diving. I am pondering ordering one of the magazines. I have read several at the bookstore, but over the last two months only. Any thoughts or comments on which has best writing, reviews of dive locations, and general diving information consistantly?

I like Rodales for their monthly "Lessons for Life" article. They generally feature "The Top Ten...." of everything from equiptment to vacation locations, but tend to be biased in favor of people/businesses who advertise with them. I suppose that should be expected of any magazine though.

Good articles, but Scuba Diving magazine is no longer owned by Rodales. They sold it about 6 months ago.

In general I get very frustrated with the Scuba mags. I find they are only good for the pictures. The articles tend to be very superficial or biased in comparison to the diversity of opinion and wealth of information you find on the web forums (like SB) with a little browsing.

I like scuba diving magazine, especially when they rate gear. Since I live in The Philippines, I also like reading Asian Diver. It hits much closer to home. I always prefer getting local magazines.

Is Undercurrent only available through subscription, or can issues be purchased at book stores? I've looked at my local Barnes and Noble, but they don't sell it
