Hi,
I am from Northern CA. Got my SSI OW certif a few months ago and I am already taking my advance O/W training (Boat Diving, Nav., Night/Lim Visib./Deep Diving). I was PADI certified many many years ago, didn't dive for many years except for some resort dives in Aus. and Israel. Got back into diving to optimize my purchase of a fractional ownership of a villa in cabo san lucas Mexico (which, by the way I have for rent this Thanksgiving week if anyone is intersted.)So I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge of diving and doing allot of diving.

By the way anoyone know of a good dive shop in Cabo?

Hi,
Welcome on board, good choice to go for the advanced course. I am an instructor, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask me, it will be a pleasure to reply.
Thanks for your response. I will take you up on your generous offer to ask questions. I have been purchasing my own equioment. I dive in the Monterrey CA areaI just bought a Solafx semi dry (7/8 mm). I also have a Balance BCwith integrated pockets). In my previous dives , I renrted 7mm farmer Johns and vest (for a total of 14 mm in the core). I dove with aluminum tanks (80s). I used 36 lbs of weight. I want to purchase my own weights. I am 180 lbs. How much weight should I buy and in what units, soft? brand where to buy, etc) Should I also buy some extra ankle. weights. Thanks
