Hello,

I am a newbie that is looking for people to dive with. I live in the Corona/Chino area and would like to go diving at least once a week. I am doing boat dives with my LDS but can only afford that about once a month. I would like to dive more often that that - I got certified by myself, no buddy, so any help would be appreciated.

For $50 round trip to Catalina, that's not too bad of a trip and you can do a few dives there for cheap once you get there.

There is also the Monthly Wiggles dives, which are free and usually shore dives.

Any dive clubs in your area?

Brian, I think you mean the Wrinkle's Dives. :D

Hi Kevin! You may also want to check out the SOCDC.com website. It is a diving club in Orange County. There is someone always diving!

Hopefully, I'll finally be able to make one of the Wrinkle's Dives again and will see you there!

Welcome to the SoCal forum! :happywave

There are lots of us who will dive with you here on the board.

If you can make it to the Wrinkles Dive in La Jolla on Saturday, September 10th, you can meet a bunch of us in one place.

Next month the Wrinkles Dive will be in Laguna.

For the weekly action, just post when and where you want to go and people will jump in on the fun. Or jump in on the fun when you see others post where and when they want to dive. We're a friendly group!

Hope to see you soon.

Christian

I live in Fontana and am open to going most weekends - starting after Labor Day that is. I'm in the same situation. I'll have to look into that Wrinkles Dive that everyone's mentioning. PM me if you're interested in diving some weekend.

I know that Empire SCUBA in Redlands has a dive club, but they only meet during the fall through spring. They said that with the schedules everyone has during the summer made meeting difficult.

http://www.sandeaters.org Not a club, no dues, no membership, just a beach dive every Sunday morning.

I'm planning to do a bit of diving this fall. Just divi up gas monies and were down the road. I'm in Murrieta. We're doing a FD trip in a few days. Bug recon on Catalina and planning to go out on a hunt on the first of October. I can take about 4 - 5 divers without being too crowded.

Let me know if ur interested. Bill
