Your best bet is to convert it into a black and white. It'll still be a little grainy, but it'll look much better. PM me if you want me to help.

I shot the above pic on a recent dive, and really like it. Is there anyplace I can send it to have the color touched up. I am a complete newbie and can't figure out photoshop.

Dan

I know what you mean about photoshop... can't figure anything out. just saw a posting about a DVD that will help you with that it is http://www.uwphotoshop.com/ There are a few demo's you can d/l to see if it is right for you... I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING IT!

Buh? Unless photoshop is vastly different than many of the other programs out there it should be relatively easy to do at least color correction.

I've been playing in Paintshop Pro X and GIMP and both seem to give fairly easy options for color correction without having to know much about well... anything.

Post a picture and what you are trying to achieve and I'm sure tons of people can help out...

Firediver, I'll have a go at your photo either tonight or tomorrow, however unfortunately due to it being rather "blue on blue with blue bits" I would at least at preliminary glance agree with AUTiger that it's only really going to able to go black and white (no color to restore).

Thanks for the help, what I really need is a strobe. That would help alot.

I'd go with the "convert to B&W" option mentioned in another post here.

I just took a whack at it in Photoshop, and the color information you need to balance the image just isn't there. A bunch of light would have helped a lot, although I'm not sure if the shark would have appreciated it.
