Thanks so much for your help guys. I have ordered the Canon s90.
Victor that makes sense now, thanks for explaining.

I'm still looking into housing and strobes. What do you think about this S2000 kit from backscatter:

Yes I can see both, addictive and expensive. But as long as it's fun, right?

The S2000 kit from Backscatter looks nice, all what you need in a package,
but other other supliers may have all what you need/want in different set-up's.
I have a Flexarm too and he works quite well, but i prefer my ULCS aluminium arms to work with.
You will keep them for all your life so the investment for a ULCS or other brand aluminium arm won't be lost.
But you may combine that arm with the Fix aluminium housing, using a ULCS arm with the Canon housing may look somehow "silly" as the arms cost almost the same as the housing...

For the housing you have 3 options:
200$ +/- OEM Canon WP-DC35 housing
300$ +/- Ikelite Ultra-Compact Housing
800$ +/- FIX S90 Housing Aluminium housing

Chris

P.S. Yes, its very addictive, expensive but FUN!

I've got a quote from reef photo with an ULCS arm option. I'm going to make a post in the lighting forum. I think the Canon housing will do. I see little difference between that one and the Ikelite. The FIX housing looks great, but it's out of my budget.

zuma022,
there is a huge diference between the Ikelite and the Canon housing.
Go in a shop to see/touch them both and you will discover the difference.
Ikelite is made of thick ploycarbonate, has metal buttons and knobs, a 67mm tread to scew on wide angle or macros lenses.
Do a search here about the Canon housing and you may read that actuall users are not sooo impressed of it...

Some more informations, they may help you with you decision:
