Depending on how long you've been out, I think you'll find that diving safety has improved significantly, at least in terms of equipment reliability.
Many will say that in compensation, training standards are not what they were.
I got back in after a gap of 30 years and was quite surprised by some of the changes.

No such thing as an older diver :D Just ones with experience .
