I have a two year old ranger, about 50 dives. I don't see how the contact with a cam band and the bladder could take place in the water. The little side straps on mine keep the bag, inflated or otherwise, away from the tank bands.

If anything, the Ranger is criticized for it's wide, doubles compatible bag. My two cents would be the damage occured on a boat during a rough ride with the bladder cover pinched against a rough section of boat rack/railing. I have seen this happen to BC's, not the Zeagle, but it could if one isn't careful about how the rigged gear is stowed in the tank racks.

I checked Zeagle's website and found an accessory that might help of eliminate your problem "An optional Bladder Sock provides additional protection form abrasion." Evidently this "sock" covers the blatter and affords it more protection. Check it out. www.zeagle.com

My Ranger has experienced similar wear, but to a lesser degree, since the bladder itself is still protected. I believe the damage happened during storage, when the velcro on the tank strap(s) came in contact with the nylon cover. This happened after maybe a dozen dives, and since then, I'm always careful to keep the velcro secured to itself. It hasn't gotten any worse, and I figured Zeagle would consider it normal wear and tear, so I didn't try to contact them. Let us know how/if they take care of you.
Here are some pix of my bc.
