Hold my breath longer.
Swim deeper.

Buy a rebreather.

I don't actually make New Year's resolutions, but my goal for 2009 is to get in some more dive trips as time and money allow, and to spend loads more time in the pool at the Y, building my strength and endurance for actual dive trips.

Our current plan is to make one of the springtime trips back to Himalaya Bay or San Carlos, maybe a trip or two out to California for some diving, and if we can afford it, a fall trip to Mexico.

The biggest goal for 2009 is to pay for our 2010 trip to Fiji so that none of the cost has to go on a credit card.

That, and maybe get the nerve to go on the shark dive in Fiji. :) We'll see what the goals are when we get to January, 2010.

hmmm... dive more than I did in '08. Should be easy. My # for '08 was 5 (not counting the pool and counting my OW check out dives).
On a serious note, finish getting my equipment, then learn how to use it.

1. Dive in warm water somewhere
2. Continue to dive as much as possible but not to the point of burnout

Dive at least once a month locally, starting with January.
Dive trip to Bonaire.
Dive trip to Florida.
Dive in a state I have not dove yet.
Renew my first aid and CPR certs.
Get HSA buddy certified.

1. Finish my Rescue cert
2. Get my Divemaster cert
3. Dive more (should be be easy while working on 1 & 2
4. Improve my dive skills (should happen with 1, 2, & 3)

Dive more often. Have more fun diving. Dive with more ScubaBoard members. Have a small celebration when my lovely bride crosses over the 100 dive mark.

Get nitrox certified
get enough diving in so I feel experienced enough to get my advanced open water certification before the end of the year
dive as much as I can with my honey(so we can have fun and he can teach me as much as possible)
