My Oceanlog shows that I haver firmware 1H (although it's not connected to the VT3.) I think that's the revision on my VT3.
If you have the cable, you can try updating the firmware yourself. I wouldn't suggest this if you need the VT3 for a dive anytime soon, because when I tried to update my VT3, I bricked it.
You might try reading some of the older posts regarding firmware versions. If you are going to use the VT3 for a buddy check, I seem to recall you need Ver. 1F minimum--but read the older posts and check Oceanic's website. If you don't have a newer version and you try to do a buddy check you can be fooled, the VT3 might (I think that is will) continue showing the last buddy pressure until you reconnect. And if you don't know that you haven't reconnected, well you keep seeing the old pressure. Newer version blanks the buddy pressure when you are not connected, IIRC.
I don't have a clue what the other fixes were when the went from one version to another. I haven't had any problems with my VT3 at the 1H, and didn't have any prior to my upgrading the firmware. That said, I would suggest using the latest firmware possible, once the firmware has been out for a few months and others have said it's working fine (unless it's a critical firmware update, one that would affect your safety if you didn't upgrade the firmware.) Does that make sense? Nope, you might have guessed, I don't like release 0 of any software.

Jeff
