This is sweet! Take of your old handwheel on your tank and exchange it for one of these. You will always know if your tank or your buddies is on or off. This is great for Instructors, Dive Shops, Dive Buddies, Dive Boats....no more turning to check if its on and accidentally having someone turn it the wrong direction.

Green your air is ON
Red your air is OFF

That does look pretty sweet. Unfortunately it still won't save me from my colourblind buddy...

You could always do a pre-dive safety check... Something like a BWRAF maybe. I always find it seems to catch anything you may forget during your excitement to get in and get wet.

Maybe I am just being fussy, sorry..

Clever.

I'm not sure, but it looks like the knob is maybe a bit shorter than the standard thermal knob, but quit a bit larger in diameter.

Of course, you cannot see it when it's on, so I would still want to promote good valve checking habits in the water - checking by feel. But even on my ccr, I sometimes forget to turn the valves off after the dive, and the red might catch my eye as a reminder.

I agree, but you would be surprised how many people turn their air ON, only to have a buddy think its OFF....and turn it the wrong way, and now it truely is OFF in the water. Doesn't happen all the time, but I do see it. Its just a small little safety feature ;)

Rick, they are a little different on different valves, I can take a pic of the one for the Thermos on an actual Thermo if you would like? I will compare it to a Thermo handwheel so you can see the difference....Might be tomorrow, I have both employees out today and I am all alone at the shop and anytime that happens, I get swamped :D I promise to have something by tomorrow though
