Hello folks! After reading a bit this looks like a great board with very informative people.

I did an experimental dive 20 years ago in Jamaica but didn't take it any further due to the ole Italian disease of fundsalo and lack of maturity.

While in Mexico last month, my wife tried snorkeling and kindled a new desire.

We are scheduled for the first of August for class and the third and fourth for our open water class on Beaver Lake in Arkansas.

It looks like this hobby is going to hurt more than my photography addiction!

Don't think of it as a 'hobby'...It's, life styles of the 'not-so-rich and 'special people'.......

Indeed. When I signed up for my Open Water class last December, one of the DM's said, "Before long, you'll be planning all your trips around diving." So true!

Hello and welcome to the board and to our addiction.....it quickly becomes your passion and your stress relief.. and hobbies of the broke from buying that piece of gear you absolutely needed...and as the sign says...its ok to buy..your wife called and said it was OK...you will love our sport.

Well thanks for the warm welcome folks! The first of the month can't get here quick enough.
