Hi, I'm from the Los Angeles area, still have lots to learn. I get down to Laguna once in a while and sometimes Catalina, and have been diving in Mexico. Started learning late it seems, but I'm glad to have started at all.

I just found this board and it looks like a friendly one with lots of info. Thanks for whoever for starting it and the rest of you for makingit a worthwhile site.

Welcome to SB drrragon,
I see you have already met Cbulla, he's sporting a new speedo today.

Welcome to the board. Good thing you joined on a day when CBulla's avatar showed a front shot. When he puts the avatar up that shows the reverse profile all the Conchs call him "Thongzilla". It's definitely bad ju-ju to sign up for ScubaBoard when C is in one of those moods! You're lucky you caught him in a Speedo moment! :D Timing is everything...

Hope you enjoy the place, there's lots to learn. Have fun,

Doc

...and MW, thanks for the shout out. I'll be checking scubaboard regularly for info and tips and maybe listen to a few debates about diving and gear.

Howdy and Welcome to ScubaBoard! ;)

You may get more out of SB if you complete your profile and separately you dive info, and be sure to check out our Southern California dive club forum. They have a lot of group fun dives, I know.

have fun, don
:cowboy:

an active board is good to see. I checked out some of the posts at the socal board, lots of discussion about sites i'm familiar with even though I have very limited experience. I hope to meet some of you out there, maybe get wet together. Thanks for the welcome Dandy D and El O.

If you need anything, advice on diving that is...you will find it on this board. I have been using it for a while and like it a lot. Check out the thread about fisherman anchoring just off the area we divers know as Casino point.....It is a very important issue and we need more people to see this information. It may help you also with information about diving Catalina. You mentioned Laguna...see our friends at Laguna Sea sports when in Laguna. Good peeps tell em Hal sent ya. Any way Cheers welcome yeeeeehaw have fun on here. Hal
