Just joined, currently reside in Okinawa and just finished Divemaster, so I thought it would be appropriate to see what diver's outside of my circle think about things.

Welcome to Scuba Board, Dave1234. This is a great site to get a pulse on all things dive related and not.

Congratulations on finishing your Divemaster training.

welcome aboard

Congrats on your DM rating!

If you are in the area and want to dive some of the Pattaya sites PM me. It is the closest diving to Bangkok.

There is a chance I may relocate to Japan. What type of exposure suit do you generally wear for your local diving?

Arizona

Welcome to the board.
So are you going to take the next step to Instructor?

Have you thought of getting your certification from HSA as a divebuddy or perhaps (once you get your instructor) as a HSA dive instructor? HSA will open a whole new world of diving for you, and if you go the instructor route provide you will additional markets. Handicap Scuba Association. I got HSA Divebuddy certified so I could dive with my comrades who were not as lucky as I.

Based on where you are now living (assigned?) I am thinking you are a member of that exclusive club known in my circles (with love and respect too) as Mussels Are Required Intelligence Not Expected aka MARINE. My circles being of course the "other club".

Anyway welcome to the board, I look forward to seeing you in the forums.
