Hello all,

I am an expat working in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. I am a late bloomer to diving. I lived in Hawaii for 3 years back in the mid 90's and had many friends that were in to it. I regrettably did not do it then, even though I wanted to, I was a poor enlisted Army soldier. Now at 43 I have finally took the plunge, literally speaking, and believe that I am hooked. I do feel that I missed out on many good years that I could have been at the bottom of a lake, ocean, spring, or sea somewhere.

They say "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" I totally disagree!
I have only just begun. I trained here with Desert Sea Divers at Fal Beach resort in the Red Sea. It is an amazing place with very warm waters and a plethora of sea life.

I look forward to diving many more times here and back in the States when I get back there.

Best regards,
Randal

Welcome. But at 43 you sound like a "young pup" not an "old dog".
