I made the switch to a steel BP/W last season and really enjoy it, especially with our 7mm suits, hood, gloves, etc. I also find it less confining than a regular BC and now need less lead on my weight belt for neutral buoyancy. THAT is a major plus.

Welcome to the sport. I certified a little over a year ago, now all my trips are based on 'how good is the diving there'
