Hello all,

I'd like to experiment a bit with diving, and am wondering about the best thing to do to start. Swimming pool lessons?

Hope you're all well,

Kyle.

I like the try scuba or adventure scuba it is just a taste to see if it just freaks you out or you think its neat. ALSO do it at a pool so it is slow and laid back. This is a agood way to start with out a huge investment.

Thanks - that was what I was thinking. My son's keen to come along with me too.

See your nearest PADI dive center and attend their next Discover scuba program. It is a one day or evening class where they review the skills and concerns in a classroom setting then take you in the pool and teach you a few skills then let you swim around and enjoy the experience.
You will have a great time!

I agree with what the others have suggested. In some cases the discover SCUBA/try SCUBA is free and in some other cases might be something $25 that can be applied as a credit if you decide to take a SCUBA certification course.

It doesn't matter whether the SCUBA shop is NAUI, PADI, YMCA, SSI etc. It only matters that the Discover SCUBA is being run by an instrucor certified by one of the main SCUBA training agencies.
