New to Scuba and glad to find this board

Nice to meet everyone. I'm new to the sport and new to the board. I'm hoping to be able to find some people local to dive with me and to learn more about the sport. It'd be great to find some mentors to help me stay safe and maybe save me some money keeping me from buying stuff that is a waste of my money!!!! Please say hi if you're inclined too.
