I'm new here to ScubaBoard and I have no idea how to find information I want. For example, I wanted opinions on good bcds for travel i.e. lightweight, compactness, etc. What's the best way to find this information? Typing "Travel BC" in the search engine did not bring up anything I was looking for. Any tips?

Thanks!

Welcome to Scubaboard. Information about buoyancy and buoyancy compensators can be found here. Buoyancy Compensators (BC's) and Weight Systems - ScubaBoard
Click on 'Forums' and view the different categories available.
One of the best ways to search Scubaboard is to go to Google and type scubaboard.com 'item1' 'item2' where item1 and item2 are your search criteria.

Click on the link Insta-gator provided you. When you get to that forum, look on the middle red toolbar at the top right side. Click the dropdown menu and type in the world travel only (bc is too short for our search engine).

If you want to narrow results further, click advanced search then on the left side where you put the keyword, change the menu under it to "title only."

You can easily search scubaboard by using Google's site search. Just search for

lightweight BC site:scubaboard.com

and you should get on your way.

BP/w Systems as they are compact and come in Al so saves some weight. They're may be lighter Jacket style versions out there. But for me I prefer BP/w.

Wow, thanks for all the replies, so quick too! I was completely lost last night, but am able to navigate much easier now.

Thanks again!
