New to diving

Hi I am from the Lower part of Alabama and I am starting my course next week. I can't wait until I am certified to dive. I am an underwater swimmer and I hate to swim above it. So diving seemed the thing to do. Would love to here about the best places to dive around the Gulf of Mexico and Florida area's.
