Hello Folks,
This site was recommended by friends and I must say I love it! I took my basic class in CT in March and got certified on a group dive trip in Cayman Brac..what an experience! I only have 11 dives under my belt but am anxious to to add more. Diving was something I always wanted to do and now that I'm pushing 60 it's time to work on that "bucket list"....I am so glad I did! I'm sure I will have lots of questions as I start to look into buying a wetsuit and BCD...all suggestions gladly accepted!

Welcome!

Do your plans include local diving?

Pete

Welcome - life begins at 60, and it is a great time of life to start diving!

Hi Pete,
Thank you for the welcome! I'm not sure about local dives, I've been told the water is cold and visibility pretty poor. On the flip side, I would like to fine tune my skills since I did have bouyancy breathing issues. My long term plan right now is a trip to Cozumel in December with a dive group. Any local places you would recommend? I don't have any of my own equipment other than fins, snorkel and mask. I do know the first thing I want to buy is a wetsuit!
