Hi all just want to introduce myself as I'm probably going to be researching on this forum a lot. I'm a total newb to diving and my immediate goal is to complete my first open water course in Hood Canal! I'll try to search the board for answers to my questions, but please bear with me...and don't bite!!!!!

Welcome, nwmouse! There are a lot of PNW divers here on SB, and lots of discussion on good topics for PNW divers, including wet and dry suits, undergarments, how to stay warm, cold water equipment, and lights. Have fun reading!

nmmouse, I have a good friend who is an instructor at Hood Canal. Just keep learning and diving. This is a great area to dive.

Thanks TSandM - keeping warm in the water and doing my first OW without panicking is the goal!
