Hello all,

I am getting certified for owd and doing my ow dives in about 3 weeks out at Catalina. My problem is that I am having some year pain - i got an infection already been taking the eardrops that the doctor gave me but should I stay out of the water untill my dives or should I continue practicing in the pool? I have started using doc's earplugs - they seemed to work very well - didn't get swim ear for the first time.

Any help?
Kevin

Hey Twinpop, welcome to SB and hope the infection gets better. Good advice to get a real medical opinion.

Welcome aboard!

I agree with the above, ask your doctor...remember, diving is supposed to be safe AND fun. If you scrw up your ears, it would be neither. JMHO.

Looks like you have already received good info on the most common problem to scuba. Check out our New Divers forum for :newbie:s. Let me know if I can help you with anything here...??
