Hi, I've recently been certified and I'm looking for dive buddies. I live close to Cook's Bay on Lake Simcoe in Ontario. I have a 26 foot cruiser. If anyone is interested in joining me for a dive please let me know. I've been attempting to locate a 25 foot catamaran that is sunk 200 feet off of Cook's Bay Shoal. I'm told that there are about 6 other wrecks around this shoal that I will eventually want to look at. I'm also interested in finding the airplane and trimaran that are in Cook's Bay as well.

Welcome to Scubaboard Andy

Looks like you have some great long range goals for your diving. For the next year or two while you are gaining experience diving 60 feet or less you will have time to research the wrecks you are interested in. Then, after training (Technical diving for that 200 foot dive, wreck diving etc) you will be ready to dive those wrecks. Be sure to visit the forums on each of those topics and the one dedicated to your part of the world.

Enjoy the diving and the journey to get where you want to go.

Congratulation for your new certification!
Welcome on board, I am an instructor and I dived in many places around the world, if you have any question don't hesitate to ask me, it will be a pleasure to reply.

I think the wreck the OP was talking about is 200 horizontal feet, not 200 feet of depth although I could be wrong. That said, he should get his AOW at a minimum if not a full wreck diving class before attempting any sort of wreck diving or boat diving.

Thanks for the welcoming comments. The wreck that I was talking about is actually in 28 feet of water and about 200 feet away from the shoal. I'm not looking to do anything to ambitious right now. I'm still enjoying the novelty of being able to stay under water at any depth no matter how shallow.

welcome aboard
