I plan to get my ow cert. in march. I would like to do some spear fishing. What are the laws for doing so in florida when diving. Also do any of you know the rules for indiana. We have some stripper pits clos by that have large fish and are near ocean clean heck you can see 10 feet deep from shore and watch the fish bite your hook. I know there are some huge cats around here.

I don't know what the regulations are for Indiana, but I was very recently working in Glendora Lake, right there in Sullivan where you are at. Man, there were some BIG bass jumping in that lake. I dropped a blue ball point pen and the second it hit the water it disappeared in a huge splash. Are you sure you want to dive in those lakes?

I was wondering if you kne weather it was legal to dve the stip pits here.

I don't know. I would imagine it would be up to the owner of the particular pit whether or not you could dive. I guess you could knock on the door of someone living on or near any particular lake and ask. I do know that Glendora, being a Navy facility, does not allow diving. They have some Navy qualified divers who do any work in the lake needed.

well most pits are on one of three public areas one is greene sullivan state forest the other is a state fwa ownered by the dnr. both places are ran by the indiana dnr
