Hi, everyone. I have been diving 15 years, and my husband just got his OW cert 2 months ago. I got certified at 14 while living in Aruba with my parents. I finally got my husband into diving, too, so now we are starting to plan some dive trips. His OW checkout dives were in Panama City, FL. We saw 2 HUGE bull sharks - after all these years of me promising him we rarely see sharks while diving! He was ticked, but we went to Cozumel and had a few great dives. He's hooked now, too! Our next trip is planned for Roatan in May. Anyone been? I'd love to find out where you stayed, where you dove, etc.

Heya and welcome to the Board! Your hubby did his check out dives in Fl, is that where ya'll are from?

Check out the travel sections on the board. Lot´s of good stuff. You´ll find Roatan in the Central American Section (duh). I´ve been to Coz and Roatan. Loved them both, but found the fish larger and more pletiful in Coz. Really ejoyed Anthony´s Key Resort in Roatan, though. The reefs and swim-throughs were great. Welcome to the board and happy traveling.

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

Completing your Profile with location and seperately - your Dive Info will help in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

And if you're going to be in Houston Oct 16 - for the DEMA show or any other reason, you're even invited to a SB Bar-B-Q dinner! Click here: http://scubaboard.com/t73366-swampers-bbq-update-and-current-info.html or PM me for assistance in signing up for it. Dee wanted to know sooner, but she can squeeze a few in late. I wouldn't miss this for anything! :thumb:
