Greetings all from San Francisco, CA. Tomorrow I begin my 1st step towards scuba certification and I am excited. To celebrate, I will be headed off to Costa Rica in November. I've been reading some very useful posts and thank everyone for their input.

Welcome to SB! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.

Good thing you decided to get involved in scuba diving! once you get certified, it will be like an addiction, i promise. this is a good place to get out any fears you have with your class, to post any questions (a lot of people here are instructors of have logged 500+ dives; they know their stuff), or if you happen to take that step, they will help you pick out gear thats right for you.

so i hope to see you in the New 2 Scuba board. i will be looking for you!
