Hi, I new to the board and excited to find out more about diving and equipment.
I've always rented and now its time to buy and the choices are so numerous. Anybody have any suggested "best buys" on BC, regs, suits, ect?

Howdy!

If you'll click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. At the bottom, be sure to notice the Local & Singles Dive Club forums.

We have many different opinions o equipment here on SB. Let me know if you have any difficulties researching our equipment forums.

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Welcome!! Any question you have, you can probably find a post about it in the archives, or just ask away and someone will steer you to an answer.

Take your time buying gear. Rent different configurations. Borrow some from people. There are so many choices on gear, and the more I learned the more my gear choices changed. I'm on my 3rd and 4th BCs now, for example, and maybe soon to be my 3rd set of fins. The gear is not wearing out, but what I want from it is changing. Take your time.

Have we got a deal for you!

Button bar, top of the page, just below where it says "Welcome, diverdizzy", third button from the right. Click it. Then click on 'Advanced Search'. Now enter any general name of equipment (e.g "what regulator"...) or specific name ("Zeagle Zena"), and hit enter.

Better pack your lunch first. There's about three or four years of threads for you to read through. Hmmm... You'll notice that after awhile they start looking real similar...

'Collected global wisdom at your fingertips'! Have fun!
