Hi All,

I just moved to the bay area (Mountain View) from Pittsburgh, PA. I was certified in '02 and did quite a bit of diving for about a year when I lived in Baltimore. (~80 dives) I fell out of diving when I moved to Pittsburgh and got a 'real job'.

I'm looking for a good shop to service my equipment and probably get a refresher course. Feel free to PM on that on shop recommendations. I'd love to learn more about diving in the area and find some people to dive with!

I used to have aspirations towards more technical diving, and I am definitely DIR leaning. Right now I'd like to just take it slow and get in the water again.

With regards to shop recommendations, there is one in your neck of the woods called Any Water Sports. They do a pretty good job there with equipment service. The guy that does the service does a lot of work with servicing regs and doubles.

I PM'd you some info regarding local instructors as well.

I will second the recommendation of Any Water Sports for gear service. Frank Barry has
the parts, and knows which ones to use (that's non-trivial when dealing with regs with
lots of engineering changes).
